PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which enables the immediate and convenient evaluation of scale adhesion in a copper tube for a heat exchanger made of copper or copper alloy.;SOLUTION: The evaluation method includes processes of: adhering scale by repeating the operation three times or greater that has the processes of dipping the copper tube for the heat exchanger into a mixture aqueous solution with hydrogencarbonate and calcium salt being dissolved in water, heating the mixture aqueous solution to a temperature equivalent to that when a practical heat exchanger is used, which is a temperature of a medium circulating in the tube when the heat exchanger is operated, and then taking out the copper tube for the heat exchanger from the mixture aqueous solution; and evaluating scale adhesion by measuring the mass of the copper for the heat exchanger which is taken out from the mixture aqueous solution in the process of adhering scale.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
