PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rust prevention method for a pipe for a heat exchanger where a return bend can be welded to the opening edge part of a U-shaped pipe in which a plating film is formed at the outer circumferential face without any risk.;SOLUTION: When a U-shaped pipe 10 made of metal used for a heat exchanger is dipped into a plating liquid 16, and a plating film for rust prevention is formed on the outer circumferential face of the pipe 10, regarding the edge part of a return bend made of metal connected with a U-shaped pipe adjacent in the heat exchanger as the opening edge part of the pipe 10, the outer circumferential face of the part to be welded and the inner circumferential face of the pipe 10 are not in contact with the plating liquid, the opening edge part 10a of the pipe 10 is projected from the liquid level of the plating liquid 16, and the pipe 10 is dipped into the plating liquid 16.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
