PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flux-cored wire for self-shielded arc welding for fire resistant steel, a flux-cored wire providing satisfactory welding work efficiency and providing weld metal free from welding defects, excellent in high temperature strength, room temperature strength and low temperature impact toughness, for the purpose of welding weld zones of a structure using fire resistant steel without requiring fireproof protection.;SOLUTION: The flux-cored wire for self-shielded arc welding for fire resistant steel is provided in which flux is filled in a steel-made outer shell, wherein by mass% to the whole mass of the wire, the flux contains: 6.5-11.0% BaF2; 3.0-5.0% Sr compound oxide; 1.0-3.0% Mg, and further, contains, in the total of one or both of the steel-made outer shell and the flux: 0.02-0.07% C; 0.5-2.0% Mn; 1.0-2.5% Al; 1.6-3.0% Ni; 0.3-0.8% Mo, and the balance Fe in the steel-made outer shell, ≤3% one or two kinds of metal fluoride and metal carbonate, ≤10% iron powder, and inevitable impurities.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
