PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a line printer having a plurality of printing heads arranged over a printing range, which suppresses deterioration of printing image quality even when positional deviation arises between the printing heads.;SOLUTION: A line head type printer 10 where printing head chips HT1 to HT15 are connected performs printing of image data D by performing halftone processing by using a dither mask stored in a dither mask storage part 52.
