PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locating method and system for wiring failure point capable of specifying identifying the occurrence point of intermittent ground fault failure regardless of the wiring system and the ground fault conditions.;SOLUTION: A frequency that the voltage level is maximum of VFT in high frequency components observed at the most distant observation point PT from the power source end of the wiring is extracted as a standardization reference frequency. From the high frequency components observed at each observation point PS, P1 and P2 at the same time, voltages VFS, VF1 and VF2 corresponding frequencies to the standardization reference frequency are extracted.
