PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the application of a cosmetic substance, and also, to make the cosmetic substance hard to stick to the skin at the time of application.;SOLUTION: This brush for a makeup use is formed into a spiral brush 11 for which a core body 12 equipped with a brush bristle 13 is continuously bent, and expands in the radial direction and the extending direction into a non-shaft body shape. Thus, (1) selection parts by which the brush bristle 13 can properly be placed are increased for individual parts of a three-dimensional application area which are different for individual users. (2) The usage under a state wherein the distal end of the spiral brush 11 is located on the side being away from the skin side is made possible. (3) The contact of other brush bristles 13 with the skin depending on the angle or the location when a part of the brush bristle 13 is placed on the application area is reduced. (4) When the spiral brush 11 is used while rotating it, the range to which the brush bristle 13 reaches is kept in the spiral range without missing the inside of the spiral range which continues in the core body extending direction by a specified radius.
