PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a biological ceramic which can exhibit improved performances such as deodorization capacity, filtration capacity, and bacterial control potency and can be desirably used as e.g. an environment cleaning material, to provide a method for producing the same, to obtain the environment cleaning material, and to provide an environment cleaning device.;SOLUTION: The method for producing the biological porous ceramic comprises kneading a raw material powder containing at least one member selected from among aluminum, calcium, iron, potassium, magnesium, sodium, and titanium, silicic acid, and graphite with a suspension or culture of at least one kind of microbe or at least one kind of biological cell, molding the mixture into a predetermined shape, and calcining the molding at 800°C or higher to disperse amorphous carbon particles formed when the microbe or the biological cell is calcined in the formed porous calcine.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
