PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system, a method, and an instrument which automate the detection of a characteristic change of a plaque in a longitudinal test so as to appraise a change of disease by treatment, patient behavior correction or continuous management. PSOLUTION: Several embodiments include the step (202) where diagnosis and treatment obtain a plurality of sets of computed tomographic images (602) of at least one artery plaque lesion acquired at different times, subsequently the step where the computed tomographic images are stored in a data base, and the step (204) where the artery plaque changes of the each set of computed tomographic images is analyzed for at least one parameter change (106).
