PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enzyme solution for the subculture of cells enabling the embryonic stem cells (ES cells) derived from primates including Homo sapiens to stably be maintained and proliferated, and to provide a method for culturing and proliferating the ES cells by using the above solution.;SOLUTION: The ES cell line can efficiently be established from the blastocyst of Macaca fascicularis by using an improved trypsin solution. Because the ES cells of Macaca fascicularis closely resemble those of Homo sapiens in properties, the trypsin solution for the subculture of the ES cells of Macaca fascicularis is considered to be also effective when it is used in the subculture of the ES cells derived from the other primates including Homo sapiens.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
