EARTHQUAKE EMERGENCY OPERATION CONTROL SYSTEM OF ELEVATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety by reducing disaster occurrence in an earthquake.;SOLUTION: An extra-low gal earthquake sensor 16 detects a tremor generated by an earthquake. A CCD camera 18 detects vibration the lowest end of a tail cord 14 suspended from a car 11 of an elevator 10. When the tremor is detected by the extra-low gal earthquake sensor 16, an elevator control device 30 stops the car 11 of the elevator 10 at the nearest floor. After the tremor is detected by the extra-low gal earthquake sensor 16, a determination device 20 determines whether the tremor is detected within a certain period. When it is determined that the tremor is not detected within the certain period, the determination device 20 determines whether the vibration of the tail cord 14 detected by the CCD camera 18 is within a preset value. When it is determined that the vibration of the tail cord 14 is within the preset value, the elevator control device 30 restores the elevator 10 to a normal operation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
