PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bactericidal/bacteriostatic solution and a deodorant solution which can liquefy a halogenated dialkylhydantoin and/or a halogenated succinimide having difficulty in preparing a stable liquid composition and has excellent handleability, workability, safety, stability and solubility. SOLUTION: The bactericidal/bacteriostatic solution and the deodorant solution comprise the halogenated dialkylhydantoin represented by formula (1) (X1 and X2 are each a halogen atom; R1 and R2 are each a lower alkyl group) or a halogenated succinimide represented by formula (2) (Y is a halogen atom) and at least one kind selected from the group consisting of tetrahydrothiophene, 1,1-dioxide, 3-methyltetrahydrothiophene 1,1-dioxide and 2,5-dihydrothiophene 1,1-dioxide.
