PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simulating device and simulating method of ultraviolet transmission caused by ozone layer depletion, which enables children and general people to easily recognize ultraviolet screening effect of ozone, understand a depletion mechanism of an ozone layer, and visually realize the phenomenon.;SOLUTION: The device has a container 1, a ultraviolet light source 2, a ultraviolet detector 3, an ozone detector 4. Ultraviolet is irradiated to the ultraviolet detector 3 from the ultraviolet light source 2 with the container 1 filled with ozone gas G supplied from an injection port 11a by an air supply and discharge mechanism 11, and an ozone concentration in the container 1 can be reduced by the air supply and discharge mechanism 11.
