PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a method and an apparatus employing a laser-induced fluorescence method for measuring a nitrogen oxide concentration, capable of measuring not only a nitrogen monoxide concentration but also a nitrogen dioxide concentration by using the same measuring apparatus.;SOLUTION: An atmospheric air to be measured is ozonated sufficiently in order to measure the nitrogen monoxide concentration, whereby nitrogen monoxide in the atmospheric air is converted into nitrogen dioxide. Then, the atmospheric air to be measured and the ozonated atmospheric air are irradiated with laser light, and intensities of fluorescence emitted by the atmospheric air to be measured and the ozonated atmospheric air are measured respectively, and the intensity of fluorescence emitted by the ozonated atmospheric air is subtracted from the intensity of fluorescence emitted by the atmospheric air to be measured, thereby obtaining the nitrogen monoxide concentration in the atmospheric air to be measured.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
