PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low viscosity, stable and a high concentration light weight calcium carbonate slurry for papermaking, and a coated paper for printing by using the light weight calcium carbonate slurry, without forming coating defects on coating by using the slurry, giving a good stock paper-covering property, printing gloss, blister resistance and a printed surface feeling without having unevenness, and also equipped with prominent properties of the whiteness, opacity and ink-receiving property, which the light weight calcium carbonate has originally. PSOLUTION: This light weight calcium carbonate slurry for papermaking is obtained by using a pigment-dispersing agent for papermaking containing a polyacrylic acid-based polymer and an addition polymer having a structure obtained by performing the addition polymerization of a monoethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid-based monomer with a polyether compound.
