PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for precisely extracting a piping installation from the image data of a piping drawing in which a map and the piping installation are described in a mixed state.;SOLUTION: This piping drawing recognition device is provided with an image data inputting part for inputting the image data of a piping drawing, a component extracting part for extracting components such as the lines, symbols or characters of the piping drawing from the image data, a piping connection database for storing rules related with the connection of a piping installation, a piping recognizing part for recognizing piping by referring to the piping connection database, and evaluating the connection relation of the extracted components and a data outputting part for outputting the recognition result of the piping recognizing part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
