PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment-friendly compost fermentation heat power generating method and device. PSOLUTION: Aqueous ammonia 20 passing through a heat absorption exchanging part 40 provided in storage 30 is vaporized by fermentation heat generated from compost T stored in the storage 30 to obtain aqueous ammonia gas 20A. By turning the aqueous ammonia 20 into the gaseous ammonia 20A, atmospheric pressure in the heat absorption exchanging part 40 is increased. A turbine 61 of the power generating means 60 connected to the heat absorption exchanging part 40 is driven with the atmospheric pressure of the ammonia gas 20A, and power is generated by the power generating means 60.
