PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for creating a bracket-shaped image, a program and a storage medium for preparing a bracket-shaped image having arbitrary height and line width with excellent appearance and ease in accordance with an outline font.;SOLUTION: Original outline data of the outline font showing an original external shape having an external shape line of a single closed curved line composed of a bracket-shaped external shape part of the bracket-shaped image composing one of a pair of front and rear and a connecting line part connecting both ends of an opening is stored to decide the height and line width of the bracket-shape image. A first-size all-over coated image coating all over its inside with effective pixels by the decided height and a second-size all-over coated image with a second size smaller than the first coated image by the line width along with the bracket-shaped external shape part are created on the basis of the original external shape data.
