Making use of the spectrogram occurrence software inside the digital storage oscilloscope, frequency hopping pattern of the frequency hopping signal is detected. Hopping pattern can be judged without deciding system timing without deciding optimum sample timing without recovering the phase or frequency of the carrier without decoding the signal by using the spectrogram. Block of the data which includes at least the repetition of 1 times of hopping pattern is analyzed with known hopping pattern, vis-a-vis the duration of related symbol of that data.
