PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipath delay estimation unit for estimating delays in multipaths with a simple constitution and a short processing time. PSOLUTION: The multipath delay estimation unit includes a delay means for respectively delaying in-phase axis signal and quadrature axis signal obtained after orthogonal detection by an effective symbol period, a correlation calculation means for calculating the respective correlation values of the in-phase axis signal and quadrature axis signal obtained after orthogonal detection and the in-phase axis signal and quadrature axis signal delayed by the delay means, a moving average means for continuously calculating average values of a guard period widths of the respective correlation values calculated by the correlation calculation means, a calculation means for calculating the sum of the squares or the absolute values of the moving averages calculated for respective correlation values by the moving average means, and a delay estimation means for estimating the delays in multipaths based on the sum of the squares or of absolute values obtained by the calculation means.
