PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach binoculars to an engaging member such as a belt. ;SOLUTION: The casing 10 of the binoculars 1 is coated with an armor member made of rubber material. A hook 40 is a plate-like member formed integrally with the armor member of the casing 10. The hook 40 is positioned by leaving space 1L in between to be opposed to a surface 10A which is a base when the binoculars 1 are used and is not displaced with respect to the rocking motion of binocular lens barrels 11 and 12 for adjusting a pupil distance. The hook 40 projects in a direction where it is separated from the casing 10 with respect to a plane simultaneously coming in contact with the outer peripheral surfaces of the lens barrels 11 and 12 in a state where the lens barrels 11 and 12 are rocked so that the pupil distance may be maximum.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
