PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forgery prevention body enabling the visualization and visual check of a latent image having a polarizing latent image device and a verification part for simply carrying out authenticity determination provided integrally having high copy prevention effect, disabling visual check by direct observation without the need of distributing or obtaining a verifier dedicated for authenticity determination in advance, a method for authenticity determination of the forgery prevention body, a forgery prevention label using the forgery prevention body, and a forgery prevention printed matter. PSOLUTION: The forgery prevention body comprises an integrated body of a polarization pattern 2 of different polarization axes in a part of a region of a colored light blocking mirror surface substrate to function as a light absorbing/reflecting layer, a polarizing latent image device c formed by laminating polarizers, and a verification part for visualizing a latent image on the surface of the light blocking mirror surface substrate other than the polarizing latent image device region for enabling visual observation.
