PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method securing the safety of an operator and preventing environment from being contaminated by a most suitable method in handling a medicinal hazard chemical substance. PSOLUTION: This method comprises a step S1 for setting a permissible range based upon the safety evaluation of an object chemical substance, a step S2 for setting an exposure permissible level according to the permissible range, a step S3 for setting an exposure management level corresponding to the exposure permissible level, a step S4 for setting a hazard state level according to a physical state and/or a use style of the object chemical substance, a step S5 for setting barrier level in every work area and in every process according to the exposure management level and hazard state level, a step S5' for setting a cleanliness level for every work area and process, and a step S6' for selecting equipment, protection clothing, protectors, and facilities according to the barrier levels and cleanliness level.
