PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a microorganism capable of decomposing a cyclic hydrocarbon containing an aromatic hydrocarbon in a good efficiency, and obtain a decomposing agent for the cyclic hydrocarbon containing the aromatic hydrocarbon, and to provide a method for treating waste engine oil by using the same agent.;SOLUTION: The microorganism as a Gram-positive bacillus belonging to the genus Rhodococcus characterized by having an activity of decomposing the cyclic hydrocarbon, the cyclic hydrocarbon-decomposing agent containing the same and the method for treating the waste oil by using the same agent are provided.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
