PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the transparency of a polylactic acid transparent material even under a high temperature environment.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the polylactic acid transparent material is characterized by kneading polylactic acid with a monomer having two or more double bonds in the molecule, molding the kneaded product at a temperature within a range of the melting point of the polylactic acid to 200°C, quenching the molded product, and then cross-linking the polylactic acid molecule in a state not recrystallizing the polylactic acid. The cross-linking treatment is carried out by irradiating the molded and quenched polylactic acid with 30 to 150 kGy of ionizing radiations or preliminarily mixing the kneaded product with a chemical initiator.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
