MAINTENANCE METHOD FOR ABNORMAL VOLTAGE DETECTION PROTECTION RELAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance method for abnormal voltage detection protection relays with improved maintainability with respect to protection relay replacement.;SOLUTION: The maintenance method is for replacing a single protection relay for abnormal voltage detection housed in the relay housing chamber 10 of a transformer protection relay panel 1. In this method, relays are replaced as follows: a protection relay Rya to be replaced is taken out of the relay housing chamber 10; and a single replacement protection relay Ry1 having a replacement voltage detection relay 30 and a replacement timer 31 is housed in the emptied relay housing chamber 10. The replacement voltage detection relay is a commercially available general-purpose product having such a function that it is actuated when an anomaly continuously occurs in the load-side voltage of the transformer for a certain period of time.
