PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reflect change of a state in accordance with setting performed to a file managed by a version management server also to a duplicate file of a file managed by a file for management. PSOLUTION: A document management server 10 has a document database 13 which stores a document created by a provider, and a document revised by editing the document by clarifying their version system by version management information. A user client 30 stores a duplicate of the document desired to be used in a use document storage part 36 by a document acquisition processing part 31. After that, when the duplicated document is used again, a version management information confirmation processing part 32 automatically queries about a state of use propriety of the document to the document server 10, and presents the state of use propriety of the duplicated document to the user.
