PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load control device which is provided between a power storage section and a drive section for driving a motor and can properly execute control after an abnormality of a voltage transformer is detected, and an electric vehicle equipped with the same.;SOLUTION: When an excessive current flag of a voltage step-up converter is detected (S10), an ECU outputs a shut-down signal to the voltage step-up converter and each inverter (S20). After that, the ECU starts monitoring a regenerative current to the power storage section (S40). Then, if the regenerative current to the power storage section is detected even after the voltage step-up converter is stopped (YES in S50) and predetermined conditions are met (S60, S70), the ECU outputs an interruption command to a system main relay (S80).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
