A system for identifying the existence of P2P network software applications

Is a system and method for detecting P2P network software operating in a target computer. A target file is created and placed in one or more folders in the target computer. A search for this target file is executed in a P2P network. According to the result of this search, it is detected that the P2P software is operating in the target computer.
