The present invention relates generally to therapeutic protocols for the treatment of cancer in subjects including humans. More particularly, the present invention provides a method for treating cancer comprising the administration of an angeloyl-substituted ingenane or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, derivative, homolog or analog thereof and at least one other agent. Preferably, the latter agent is an anti-cancer agent or has or induces an anti-cancer effect.
