PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated matter with an injury resistant coat formed which has good mechanical characteristics including long term corrosion resistance, ductility, lubricity, and impact resistance and injury resistance to sliding, an injury resistant coating agent, and a method for producing the injury resistant coating agent. PSOLUTION: In the coated matter, a synthetic resin is made a resin matrix, and the injury resistant coat containing gas phase grown carbon fibers in the synthetic resin matrix is formed in at least a part of the surface of a metallic material. The carbon fibers contain 3-40 pts.wt. in relation to 100 pts.wt. of the synthetic resin. The Knoop hardness of the injury resistant coat is at least 40 Hk.
