PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control excitation wavelength of a magnetostatic wave by forming an arbitrary magnetic domain in a magnetic material.;SOLUTION: The magnetostatic element 2 has an input part 6, a periodical structure part 8 and an output part 10 formed on the upper surface of a YIG monocrystalline substrate 4. The input part 6 and the output part 10 are parts for respectively inputting an input signal or outputting an output signal to the magnetostatic element 2. Further, the periodical structure part 8 is disposed for forming a periodical structure of the magnetic domain in the YIG monocrystalline film 4 and is formed of a conductive metal. Furthermore, the periodical structure part 8 is configured such that, in the embodiment in a first figure, parts extended in the vertical direction in the figure are periodically arranged in left and right directions, are connected to one another and are made to be one line of conductive body.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
