Superconducting cable pooling eye and laying method of superconducting cable using pooling eye

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that the tension that is caused by pulling a pulling eye when a superconductive cable is laid is transmitted to the core of the cable concentrically, and that strain applied to a superconductive conductor decreases a critical current. PSOLUTION: The pulling eye that is connected to the end of the superconductive cable has a sleeve that is joined to a former exposed from the superconductive conductor at the center of the pulling eye. A joint to the inner pipe of the heat-insulating pipe of the cable is provided at the outer end of the sleeve, and another joint to the outer pipe of the heat-insulating pipe of the cable at the end of a protective pipe arranged on the outside circumference of the pulling eye. By providing this pulling eye for the superconductive cable, the tension that pulls the pulling eye is shared by the former of the cable and the inner and outer pipes of the heat insulating pipe when the cable is laid, so that the tension does not concentrate on the cable core and an irreversible drop of the critical current is eliminated.
