PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste member collecting apparatus which collects a component discarded from a component mounting equipment sufficiently, is useable for collecting and cleaning of tape, is economical to use, and is easy to operate.;SOLUTION: The waste member collecting apparatus includes a flame portion(51) which can take in and out a general-purpose collecting box(40) used in component transferring etc., a detachable mechanism(59) keeping the collecting box(40) hermetically, and a suction portion(60) generating a negative pressure in the collecting box(40). The apparatus is constructed so that the keeping the collecting box(40) hermetically is finished by moving an operating member(58) in one direction at one action, and a release of the hermetic state is finished by moving the operating member(58) in the reverse direction at one action. The keeping of the hermetic state is completed by rotating an operation lever(71) to lift the collecting box(40) and by pushing a top rib(41) at an upper edge against the sealing member(67).
