PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage simulation system which calculates the required close-to-reality storage volume for a house by incorporating article storage method, age/sex, life style and the like, for providing the volume for reference use during new-construction/reform. PSOLUTION: This storage simulation system, used by a user or an advisor for grasping the storage pattern for the house fitting to the user. A necessary storage volume for each sex/age group which is obtained by calculating the average required storage volume for the unit number of people for each sex/age group and each section in the house is stored. The sex/age group of all the residents in the house is applied to the required storage volume for each sex/age group, to calculate the total required storage volume for the house for each section, and the difference between the total required storage volume and a storage volume which is planned to be installed in the house is calculated and displayed on a screen. The average required storage volume is a sum, obtained by adding for each section, a value calculated by multiplying an average number of stored articles for each sex/age group by the average volume of the article and a required storage volume conversion factor which is unique to the article.
