PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constant temperature/constant humidity state where an observation object can stay in a normal state in observation where the object is placed on a microscope. PSOLUTION: The thermo-hygrostat has internal space in which the observation object placed on the microscope is housed and which is constituted in size proper to be attached to the microscope. Temperature control means (5 and 6) are provided at least to the circumferential part of the space so as to control the temperature of the internal space, and further a means (9) for controlling the humidity of the internal space is installed therein.
