PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aqueous resin composition that is suitable for fiber processing and paper processing and in the case of a use as an aqueous resin composition especially for a nonwoven fabric binder, forms a nonwoven fabric having excellent formation resistance to prevent breakage during formation.;SOLUTION: The aqueous resin composition is obtained by subjecting an aromatic group-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer [A], a carboxy group-containing ethylenic unsaturated monomer [B] and another ethylenic unsaturated monomer [C] (the monomers [A], [B] and [C] are different compounds) as essential components to emulsion polymerization in an aqueous medium in the ratio of 1-50 wt.% of the monomer [A], ≤10 wt.% of the monomer [B] and 40-99 wt.% of the monomer [C] based on the total weight of the whole ethylenic unsaturated monomers. In the aqueous resin composition, the flow viscosity of a coating film formed from the aqueous resin composition at 70°C is ≥10⁶ Pa×s and the glass transition temperature of the coating film is 20-70°C.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
