PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To promptly and accurately measuring injection-valve opening pressure or injection-valve closing pressure of control valve for a control valve type lead-acid battery. PSOLUTION: In the method of measuring injection-valve opening pressure of the control valve type lead-acid battery, a jig 3 air-tightly covers the periphery of the control valve of the control valve type lead-acid battery in which pressure is closed in the condition of atmospheric pressure, air pressure PSB1/SBin the jig 3 is measured when the pressure in the jig 3 is reduced and then the control valve 2 is opened, and the absolute value (¾PSB1/SB-PSB2/SB¾) of the difference between the air pressure P1 and the air pressure PSB2/SBin the control valve type lead-acid battery 1 before opening the valve represents the injection-valve opening pressure. In the method of measuring injection-valve closing pressure of the control valve type lead-acid battery, when the control valve 2 is opened, an operation of reducing the pressure is stopped and this state is left as it is, when the air pressure in the jig 3 is elevated by inflow of the air from the inside of the control valve type lead-acid battery 1 and the control valve 2 returns the initial closed condition, the air pressure PSB3/SBin the jig 3 is measured, and the absolute value (¾PSB3/SB-PSB4/SB¾) of the difference between the air pressure PSB3/SBand the air pressure PSB4/SBin the control valve type lead-acid battery 1 when closing the valve represents the injection-valve closing pressure.
