PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processed food of balsam pear comprising balsam pear as principal material, which is non-heat sterilized, versatile and long time storable and easily and frequently ingested in normal meal as a dressing or a jam, and to provide a method for producing the same.;SOLUTION: The method comprises mixing of a Allium sativum and Perilla frutescens var. acuta in a process mixing the raw fruit of the Momordica charantias. The processed food matches with various dishes by mixing with edible salts and edible oils and using as the dressing because the food contains a bitter ingredient characteristic of the Momordica charantia. The food is refrigerated for a long time without heat sterilization, additives, colorings and preservatives by mixing the Allium sativum and Perilla frutescens var. acuta allowing a synergistic effect of active ingredients belonging to each vegetable.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
