PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-pressure casting device capable of preventing oxidation of a molten metal remaining in a guide hole for guiding the molten metal into a mold.;SOLUTION: The low-pressure casting apparatus comprises: a molten metal holding chamber for holding a molten metal; a pressurizing chamber which is communicably arranged in the molten metal holding chamber to pressurize the molten metal; an open-close valve for opening/closing a communication hole for communicating the molten metal holding chamber with the pressurizing chamber; a guide hole for guiding the molten metal to a mold with its base part being communicably connected to the lower part of the pressurizing chamber and its tip end being communicably connected to the sprue of the mold; a float arranged in an elevating/lowering manner inside the pressurizing chamber; and a tank which is connected to the upper part of the pressurizing chamber via a guide pipe and the open-close valve, and stores an inert gas. The base part of the guide hole is connected to the position of the height of the pressurizing chamber at which a space formed above the molten metal in the pressurizing chamber can communicate with the guide hole when the top level of the molten metal is elevated by immersing the float in the molten metal to fill the molten metal in the mold, the filled molten metal is solidified, and then, the float is elevated to lower the top level of the molten metal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
