PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transparent and beautiful appearance, a good aromatic deodorizing effect, and good persistence and stability, by containing a mixture of aluminum octylate and a C12-C24 high grade aliphatic acid aluminum salt, a benzylidenesorbitol derivative, and an aromatic and/or deodorizing component. SOLUTION: This transparent gel aromatic deodorant component having a good preservative formability contains (a) a mixture of aluminum octylate and a C12-C24 high grade aliphatic acid aluminum salt and (b) a benzylidenesorbitol derivative, and (c) an aromatic and/or deodorizing component. As the mixture (a), for example, a material described in Japanese Patent Laid Open No.10-43282 can be used. The benzylidenesorbitol derivative (b) is a condensate formed by condensation reaction of sorbitol and benzaldehyde and contains single mono-, di-, or tribenzylidenesorbital, or a mixture of these at any ratio. Perfume of the aromatic and/or deodorizing component (c) is natural or synthetic perfume, and the deodorizing component is, for example, a chemical deodorant.
