PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, low power consumption and easy-maintenance respiration simulator used in an evaluation test on respiratory protectors; the simulator being able to simulate larger breathing, change neither respiratory cycle nor ventilation volume even in a high-pressure loss test, and easy to generate not only regular air waveforms like sine, rectangular, triangular and other waveforms but workers' personal respiration waveforms and other arbitrary ones.;SOLUTION: The simulator consists of a plurality of air cylinders 1 for generating air waveforms, an electric-powered cylinder 2 for operating the air cylinders, a servo controller 3 for controlling the operation of the electric-powered cylinder, an input/output device 4 for recording analogue inputs from outside and reproducing them with arbitrary magnification, a PC5 for generating arbitrary waveforms and a waveform generator 6 to output these arbitrary waveforms.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
