PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrillated acrylic fiber produced from a stably spinnable fiber, enabling easy fibrillation and having excellent thermal stability and provide a method for producing the fibrillated acrylic fiber and a structure containing the fiber.;SOLUTION: The fibrillated acrylic fiber is produced by beating a raw material fiber having a water-absorption rate of ≥0.15 g/g and a water absorption of ≥20 wt.% and produced by spinning a spinning dope composed of a polymer mixture comprising 95-99 wt.% acrylonitrile polymer containing ≥80 wt.% acrylonitrile bonded in the polymer and 1-5 wt.% hydrophilic acrylonitrile resin containing 10-70 wt.% acrylonitrile bonded in the resin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
