PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer composition having modulated optical refractive index, which efficiently modulates (changes) a refractive index by light irradiation and does not largely modulate a once modulated refractive index with time and high storage stability.;SOLUTION: The polymer composition having a modulated optical refractive index comprises 100 parts wt. of a polymer (A) which is a polymer of a monomer composed of an acrylic-vinyl monomer represented by the formula: CH2=C(CR1)-C(=O)O-R2=CH2 (R1 is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; R2 is a 1-20C saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon group and may contain a hetero atom or a halogen atom in the molecule) as an essential component and in which a radically polymerizable side-chain vinyl group remains in the molecule as a main component and 5-60 parts wt. of a thermosetting polymer (B).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
