PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network scanner apparatus which can be utilized through simple setting and operation, a network scanner reading control method and a medium with a network scanner control program recorded thereon. PSOLUTION: When a user starts reading operation using a scan server 10 while running a quick scan client program 60 at the side of a scan client 50, the scan server 10 transmits a broadcast packet or the like and transmits user information specifying the user himself/herself from the scan client 50. When the user is designated and scanning is performed in the scan server 10, read data are sent toward the selected scan client 50. Therefore, in the scan client 50, the data are stored on a clip board or a file and when the user returns to a terminal of the scan client 50 and carries out paste operation or the like, the same data can be utilized.
