PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for use in a tape cartridge magazine including one or more tape cartridge bays.;SOLUTION: Each tape cartridge bay includes a first bay wall surface for engagement with a first surface of a tape cartridge and a second bay wall surface spaced from the first bay wall surface by a first clearance distance.
