PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit type building in which the upper section of a living room section in the building unit can be formed in an open-ceiling space and the living room section in a large space can be obtained even when the building unit having a housing room section and the living room section in one building unit is arranged on an uppermost floor.;SOLUTION: The unit type building 1 is constituted by combining a plurality of columns 10, a plurality of ceiling beams 12 mutually connecting the upper ends of the columns 10, a plurality of the building units 3 and 4 with a plurality of floor beams 13 mutually connecting the lower ends of the columns 10 and a roof panel 7. At least one of the building units 4 arranged on the uppermost floor is used as deformed building units 5 and 6, from which one ceiling beam 12 of the building unit is removed, while the inside on the attic space K side is used as the living room sections A.
