PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe relay system etc., which is easily adaptive for expansion of a safe component.;SOLUTION: An input expansion unit is equipped with an input-side terminal group and an output-side terminal group having a plurality of terminals for connecting with other input expansion units, and respective terminals constituting the input-side terminal group and output-side terminal group include in the input extension unit a shift terminal having its input side and output side connected while shifted at least one or more and a safe component connection terminal which can be connected to a safe component terminal. The safe component terminal is so constituted that an input state is sent out to the master unit through shift terminals of the input extension unit which are connected between the input extension unit and master unit while shifted among the terminals, and consequently the input expansion unit obtains the input state from the safe component to control a relay by the master unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
