PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission type screen excellent in angle-of-visibility characteristic and light utilization efficiency, to provide a lens base plate with a diffusion part suitably used for the transmission type screen, and also to provide a rear type projector equipped with the transmission type screen. PSOLUTION: The lens base plate with the diffusion part 1 is equipped with a microlens base plate 3 having a plurality of microlenses 32 condensing incident light, a black matrix 4 formed on a light emitting side from the microlens 32 and having an aperture part 41 on the optical path of light transmitted through the microlens 32, and the diffusion part 5 having a function of diffusing the light transmitted through the microlens 32.
