PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a strut having a height adjusting device which has excellent operability at the time of height adjustment and is capable of making stepless height adjustment. ;SOLUTION: A screw rod 12 is erected on a base strut 10 and an adjusting nut 20 is vertically movably screwed onto the external threads 12a of this screw rod 12. A pipe-like main strut 16 is inserted onto the screw rod 12 and the bottom end of the main strut 16 is supported by the adjusting nut 20 and a cap is mounted in this state at the top end of the screw rod 12. The main strut 16 is held between the adjusting nut 20 and the cap and the adjusting nut 20 is rotated, by which the main strut 16 is moved upward and downward and the height thereof is adjusted.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
