PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer and evacuation apparatus etc., for a transfer robot for a press which is compact in the entire constitution while including an evacuation mechanism in case of an abnormality of a crossbar for coupling driving sections on both sides of a press machine.;SOLUTION: The transfer robot for the press comprises a pair of the driving sections 20 and 40 arranged respectively on one side and the other side of the first press machine 10 and the second press machine 15 and the crossbar 60 which extends to the space between the two press machines and connects the pair of the driving sections. The respective driving sections include a guide member 21 extending in a direction that two press machines are connected, a traveling member 23 which can travel thereon, and oscillation members 27 and 31 which are pivotally supported at their one end by the traveling member and are oscillatable in the direction that the two press machines are connected. The crossbar is connected at its one end and the other end to the other ends of the respective oscillation members and has a holding section 62 for holding a work at its intermediate part. The crossbar is moved along the prescribed locus by traveling of the traveling member, and is evacuated from between the upper and lower molds of the first press machine and the second press machine in case of the oscillation failure of the oscillation members, and is moved along the prescribed locus by the oscillation of the oscillation member and is evacuated from between the upper and lower molds in case of the traveling failure of the traveling member.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
